Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others.
Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval.
Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.
Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet.
This Tibetan monk was sitting in a park and was moved to bless the deer that gathered ‘round him. Someone snapped a picture, and when they looked at it, a rainbow had appeared… never underestimate the magic and power of gratitude.

So after I calmed down and did some thinking, I thought it wise to delete my ‘fat acceptance’ post. While I still think it’s an absolutely ridiculous concept, I still feel a little guilty for writing (or thinking) those thoughts. I never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings, and I’m angry at myself for having done so.
I’m very headstrong in the sense that I just cannot find a good reason why overweight people can’t adopt a healthy diet (fruits, vegetables, whole grains). That alone would result in instant weight loss. Though I sometimes come off as judgmental and harsh, I always mean well. I just want everyone to have a chance at living a full life, with a clean and healthy body and mind.. and when I heard that there is an entire movement encouraging otherwise, I thought “Well that’s not fair.. We’re shaving years off of valuable lives.. and for what? To feel more at ease with a fixable problem?”
I’d also like to note that we have enough people out there patting us on the back for every imaginable thing.. Maybe we’re so emotionally weak because there isn’t anyone who will be straight with us?
You can get into a habit of thought in which you enjoy making fun of all those other people who don’t see things as clearly as you do. We have to guard carefully against it.
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
I’m running out of patience. I don’t know how much longer I can observe the rampant stupidity of my peers without going absolutely insane. Men and women whining about being ‘used’, re-tweeting The Notebook quotes, taLkin lik dis, spending all of their dad’s money on useless clothing.. WHEN WILL IT STOP?
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.
